REPAIR OF 120 MW TURBINE BEARING UNDERTAKEN FOR A LEADING NIGERIAN STEEL COMPANY:-

We were approached by a leading steel company based in Nigeria to undertake Rebabbitting of white metal turbine bearing having a capacity of 120 MW. They have been getting previously the repairs done from the company based in Europe which failed in a short duration of operation, never gave the satisfactory performance and charged exorbitantly. RA Power Solutions undertook the successful repair of rebabbitting of 120 mw turbine bearing.

ON RECEIPT OF BEARING FROM NIGERIA IT WAS THOROUGHLY INSPECTED FOR FOLLOWING :-

• The old white Babbitt metal was removed under the controlled temperature.
• Short blasting of the bearing shell was undertaken.
• The hardness of inner diameter was checked.
• Ultrasound was again done to check the bonding of Babbitt white metal with steel casing.
• Assistance provided in transportation of heavy bearings to our works for white metal rebabbitting from other countries.
• Our plant is also close to the dry port of New Delhi, in case our client wants to dispatch the bearing by sea.
