Customized tooling was manufactured in advance, and two highly skilled technicians were deputed to the site along with an onsite crankshaft grinding machine, enabling repairs to be carried out directly at the power plant in Sudan.

Prior to grinding, all crankpins were thoroughly inspected and measured to evaluate wear, taper, and ovality. The measurements confirmed deviations from the standard diameter of 230.00 mm, with ovality values exceeding permissible limitsclearly indicating the necessity for precision grinding and polishing.
