i) The completeinspection of crankshaft, as per the protocol was done, which includes dimensional inspection for taper & ovality, hardness test, MPI for crack detection and visual inspection.
All other parameters were observed within limits, except excessive ovality was observed in case of all crankpins in the range of 0.10 MM to 0.40 MM.
This is considered to be very much on the higher side, as the tolerance for the crankpin diameter 130.00 MM is only 0.03 MM, as per the manual.
