We have trained, qualified and experienced technicians to undertake crankshaft inspection & to execute the crankshaft repair successfully after Pre inspection is conducted.

Following services for crankshaft inspection & crankshaft repair are offered:

i) Inspection services for damaged crankshaft onsite or on board a vessel. 

ii) In case of damaged crankshaft we depute our experienced technicians to undertake the inspection all over the world for land based Diesel engine or for main & auxiliary engines installed on the vessel.  

iii) Technicians travel to the site in a minimum possible time as all our technicians have necessary certificates & CDC which facilitates them to fly to any destination all over the world.

iv)Technicians carry with them calibrated latest breed of instruments to conduct the crankshaft inspection and crankshaft repair on site.  

 The crankshaft inspection includes following:

a) Visual inspection of radius fillet, lubricating oil hole, counter weight and complete crankshaft for any damage. 

b) Dimensional inspection of crankpin and main journal (in case possible) to check taper & ovality.

c) Hardness test.

d) Crack detection by MPI with latest model of high intensity magnaflux torch. 

e) In certain cases dye penetrant test is also undertaken.

f) Surface roughness test by latest model of Mitutoyo surface testing instrument. 

g) Computerised reports are prepared on RA Power technical format and are submitted to the client. 

h) In case required RA Power Solutions can immediately depute a team of technicians with onsite crankshaft/ cylindrical shaft grinding machine to execute the repair as per the International standard & specification.
